Welcome to Lunacy; where we discern the sacred from the insane and admit that whether we like it or not, we are all profoundly affected by the cycles of the moon.
In this episode, I’m interviewing Mike Shea, a retired postal worker, and Marion Blair, a biologist specializing in wildlife habitat and wetlands, about the proposed Idaho-Maryland gold mine in Grass Valley, California.
The Idaho-Maryland Mine proposal threatens wetlands, wildlife, and community quality of life, and now is the time to tell Rise Gold that we don’t want or need their mine in our town! It’s also a chance for all of us on this planet to take a stand for the earth, and declare NOT ON OUR WATCH will you decimate pristine natural environment and pollute our skies.

If you're a local resident, please show up to the Planning Commission meeting:
May 10th and 11th at 9:00 am
950 Maidu Avenue
Nevada City, CA 95959-790
Listen to “Wells Run Dry”, my song written about this mine, which would have devastating effects on the environment including draining the wells of many of the local residents. Featured in the video is a LIVE PROTEST against the mine, as well as a FLASH MOB staged at Robinson Plaza in the heart of Nevada City, CA. I wrote this song to inspire people to take a stand against this mine, and to help shift the paradigm for all of us to embrace living in harmony with the environment and honoring the earth, rather than blindly plundering it.
